SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON
The SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON
is coming this Wednesday, and I'll be there to hobnob with
all the beautiful people - and those that won't be
wearing costumes as well. I enjoy going to the convention
when I'm able, this will be the first time I'll be going solo.
There is so much to see and do there, you can never see it
all. I especially enjoy attending the panels,
with such a wide variety of subjects and talented people.
Recently, Comic-Con posted the panel schedule on their website,
and it allows you to create a personal schedule by
selecting the panels you want to attend. They even allow you
to share your schedule with others, so your friends will know
where you'll be going. I posted my personal schedule HERE
to give you an idea of what will be available this year. Of
course, check Comic-Con's official website
for a complete list.
So, since I'm doing a long overdue update,
I am adding another comic story to the comics section, ROCKETMAN.
It's a few pages based on the lyrics of an old song from the
1970s, and was created entirely in Adobe Illustrator.
It is available in print form in the magazine WALLOP!
which you can get at only the finest comic book stores.
Copies can also be purchased by mail for $3 plus postage.

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY
SATURDAY, MAY 5, 2012
Here it is, the first Saturday in May in the
year 2012. Free Comic Book Day this year falls on
Cinco de Mayo. Time to celebrate! I will be appearing
at EMPIRE COMICS on Saturday to be a part
of the festivities. It's the first time I'll be participating
as a contestant in public on FCBD, so I've
been busy producing a book to pass out to all the comic book
aficionados. I've been asked to man a table and sketch
for all the folks coming in. So come on down and say hi...
I'll be promoting a couple of comics that I've created. RANDOM EYE SPOTLIGHT will be available for purchase, featuring dinosaurs, cavemen and homeless people. I'll also have WALLOP! at my table, which has a mix of different types of comics between the pages. And, while supplies last, I'll be handing out the WALLOP COMICS SAMPLER, with art & illustrations for the whole family.
If you aren't able to make it to EMPIRE COMICS this Saturday, I'm making the FCBD Sampler available as a PDF here on Splash Pages. Just click on the link below to get your copy.
