When a band of struggling young musicians meets an untimely end, a malevolent force calls them back from death as the living dead. Resurrected by a reclusive sorceress from the dark southern swamps, they are enlisted to exact her unholy vengeance on a powerful adversary. But, by some miscalculation in the nature of the voodoo magic that re-animates their breathless corpses, their memories and personalities return intact. Instead of being the mindless, automated thralls they were intended to be, they rise as the same young, hopeful performers they were in life.
