This client was very specific about what she wanted. She supplied all of the drawings of the cakes, which were drawn by one of her employees. I colored these in PhotoShop after scanning the line work. The colors had to be precise. The background texture came from a stock photo CD and is similar to the texture of the walls in the bakery. In order to keep the drawings of the cakes from clashing with the background texture I placed them on pieces of torn paper. When printed, the client selected a heavy but absorbent paper stock. We had to adjust for this by lowering the screen density on the negatives. 17"w x 9.5"h open; 5.67"w x 9.5"h folded. 6 pages, 4-color process on porous paper. |
